Check &#8217;em out.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s also worth noting that a couple of the sound design elements of <a title=\"Read the &quot;Fun with Bikes&quot; post on Noise Jockey\" href=\"https:\/\/noisejockey.net\/blog\/2010\/04\/05\/fun-with-bikes\/\" target=\"_blank\">yesterday&#8217;s clip<\/a> has been previewed before in previous posts on this site&#8230;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The film motor sound in the identity stinger is from a <a title=\"Read the &quot;Brownie&quot; post on Noise Jockey\" href=\"https:\/\/noisejockey.net\/blog\/2009\/10\/22\/brownie\/\" target=\"_blank\">Kodak Brownie camera<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>The bicycle effect that was demonstrated was used in the power-up effect in my <a title=\"Read the &quot;Robot's First Steps&quot; post on Noise Jockey\" href=\"https:\/\/noisejockey.net\/blog\/2009\/11\/27\/robots-first-steps\/\" target=\"_blank\">robotic sound design clip<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Some of the other elements include public-domain soundtracks from <a title=\"...from the Prelinger Archive at archive.org\" href=\"http:\/\/www.archive.org\/details\/prelinger\" target=\"_blank\">1950&#8217;s films<\/a>, the sound of a struck <a title=\"&quot;A mezzaWHAT?&quot; Check it out on Wikipedia.\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Mezzaluna\" target=\"_blank\">mezzaluna<\/a>, and even a DAT tape read error.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks again, all, \u00c2\u00a0stay tuned for more sonic mayhem.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Just wanted to thank everyone for the amazing response to yesterday&#8217;s video.
